Sun in the Water No. 13

    2024 - 77cm x 41cm - Acrylic on canvas - palette knife and brush - on stretcher

If you sailed on the sea or ocean by ship for a few days, you would easily notice that even the sun has its daily rituals and schedule. Why on the sea or ocean? There you can see everything it does, very precisely at every hour. In the morning it emerges from under the surface of the water from a morning bath. It slowly rises upwards, a bit sleepy, like a person going to work. At noon it works and heats up fully, and after work it wanders to different places. Sometimes it is helpful, and sometimes irritating when it interferes, burning too much, or too little, allowing for a coolness. Sometimes it is lazy and does not even emerge from behind the clouds. Either way, at the end of each day it wanders sleepily, disappearing into an evening bath, until it finally falls asleep until morning. Each of its days looks the same. Despite this, it is necessary for us to live. How many people do you know who live like the sun? Do you think this is a good life? Maybe that is what you are?

Don Simon - Szymon Półtorak is a Polish painter, artist and graphic artist whose works are distinguished by their unique style. Szymon Półtorak, despite being inspired by the classics, develops his own, characteristic artistic language, which not only attracts attention, but also evokes deep emotions.

The artist has an impressive collection of paintings, and his works reach clients in Poland, but also abroad, which confirms the international reach of his work. Each painting is numbered and signed by hand, and has a certificate of authenticity issued by Don Simon.

The painting comes straight from the artist's studio.

    All paintings are hand-painted.

They are created from scratch - from knocking a stretcher frame out of boards, stretching and creating a canvas by the artist himself. (apart from a few exceptions in the collection where a different canvas was purchased specifically, or was painted on the wall)

The paintings are sold without a frame - the first photo is a preview visualization only.

The painting may not have a perfect square or rectangular shape due to unevenness of the stretcher frame because it was created from scratch by hand and they appeared by accident, or the stretcher frame was specially curved to imitate something, or for other purposes consistent with its message.

Some paintings do not have a stretcher frame and are sold as canvas only - ready to be stretched yourself.

In the case of shipping outside the EU, additional customs fees may be charged, which are covered by the buyer.
