    Golden Tree’s Bark No. 11

2024 - 41 cm x 77 cm - Acrylic and spray on canvas - palette knife and brush - on stretcher

While cutting the bark of the golden tree, he heard that only a fool or a crazy person would do something like that. However, when the work was completed and the bark turned to gold, it began to be praised, revealing its true face, beauty, and soul. Some had the opportunity to touch the golden bark, feeling the structure and texture of the legendary tree’s bark beneath their fingers or cheeks. Most of them were delighted with the final effect. Why most? Of course, it is understandable that some prefer silver over gold. What does this mean? What did the author, Don Simon, mean by this? Do you think it’s just about preferences for metals? Was it about some preferring to remain silent while others speak? Or perhaps it’s about something completely different? How beautiful would our world be if we supported and cheered for others from the very beginning, not only when they turn golden?

Don Simon - Szymon Półtorak is a Polish painter, artist, and graphic designer whose works stand out due to their unique style. His art, the result of years of work and experimentation, combines traditional painting techniques with modern artistic solutions. Although inspired by the classics, Szymon Półtorak develops his own distinctive artistic language, which not only attracts attention but also evokes deep emotions.

The artist has an impressive collection of paintings, and his works reach clients not only in Poland but also abroad, confirming the international scope of his artistry. He also offers personalized paintings on request, tailoring his works to the individual needs of his audience. Thanks to his unique style, which he continually refines, his paintings are gaining recognition from an increasing group of art enthusiasts. His works fit perfectly into the latest trends in contemporary art.

Each painting is numbered and hand-signed, and comes with a certificate of authenticity issued by Don Simon. The painting comes directly from the artist’s studio. All paintings are hand-painted. They are created from scratch—beginning with the construction of the stretcher from wood, stretching the canvas, and creating the artwork by the artist himself (except for a few exceptions in the collection, where specially purchased canvas was used, or works painted directly on walls).

The paintings are sold without frames—the first image is just a visualization preview. The painting may not have the perfect square or rectangular shape due to the irregularities of the stretcher, as it was created by hand from scratch, and these irregularities appeared by chance, or the stretcher was intentionally curved for imitation or other purposes aligned with the piece’s message.

Some paintings do not have a stretcher and are sold as just the canvas—ready to be stretched by the buyer.

For shipments outside the EU, additional customs charges may apply, which are the responsibility of the buyer.
