Simon Wins Purchase Award from Jersey City Museum

Last fall, Don entered "Cows on Garbage 2" into a juried competition at the Perkins Center for the Arts in Moorestown, NJ. The Annual Competition, called 'Works On Paper', drew 350 entries, with 63 pieces gaining acceptance into the show. At the conclusion of the exhibition, curators from the Jersey City Museum were invited to view all the work and select one piece for a Purchase Award.

The selected artist would be offered the award in exchange for donating the piece to be included in the permanent collection of the Museum. "Cows on Garbage 2" was selected and Don gratefully accepted the award.

The piece was sent to the Museum and approved by the Board for acceptance into the permanent collection.
